BURNOUT

THE ROLE OF VIRTUAL PEER SUPPORT PLATFORMS FOR REDUCING STRESS AND BURNOUT AMONG RESIDENT PHYSICIANS DURING COVID-19 (BURNOUT)

The BURNOUT study aims to determine if the current protocol using virtual peer support can help to reduce stress, burnout and depression among doctors in training and improve their wellbeing. Burnout is a physical, mental and emotional weakening caused by constant negative events. It can decrease a doctor’s ability to do their job, increase mistakes and worsen patient care. Currently, the BURNOUT study is a pilot study, to assess if a fully randomized control trial is feasible.
